REVIEW: Ozeri Ducky Thermometer

When this duck arrived, I was impressed by the size. I was expecting something a little smaller. This was a pleasant surprise.  It was ready to use right away. As soon as placed the duck in the tub, it started to calculate the temperature of the water. If the water is within the right range, the LED light turns green. If it is too hot, the LED turns red. If the water happens to be too cold, you will be met with a blue light. The packaging also has a chart that indicates the respective temperature ranges. 


I have two children. One is 6-months old and the other is 3-years old. Parents always worry when it comes to dealing with babies. This duck helps to put your mind at ease when it comes to the bath water. The thing I like most about this duck is that it was simple to teach my three-year-old to read it. He has a bad habit of jumping into any bath that is run. Mine are usually way too hot. Now, I sit the duck in the tub and he knows not to jump in if the duck’s light is red. This is so simple a child can use it. I received a sample of this duck to test.

REVIEW: Ozeri Tower Fan

We have three tower fans in our house, but this is my favorite. This fan has features that I didn’t even think were possible. Number one being a 360 degree oscillation feature! I didn’t know that was a thing. This feature alone is enough to make me extremely excited about this Ozeri Tower fan. In addition, you can have a more narrow rotation if you desire. This fan can also be set to 60, 90, and 120. If you have ever been sitting in a room while a fan was rotating and waiting your turn, you understand how epic the more narrow rotation is. I don’t have to wait as long for it to hit my side of the sofa or bed. This is a sleek-looking fan. 

It has a modern design that will fit any décor as a decoration piece. The LED screen is amazing. The numbers are large enough that I can see them from across the room. That makes the fact that a remote control is included even better. I hated having to guess what setting my fan was using after using the remote control or even worse having to get up and see. That defeated the purpose. 


Setup was quite simple. You just snap the two base parts together and use the hand screws to secure it to the base of the fan. I would suggest you snap the base together after feeding the cord between. If you do it without placing the cord in the middle first, you will likely have to take it apart to do so. The remote control takes a flat battery. You squeeze the tab on the bottom of the remove, and pull out the little drawer to insert it. There is a (+) sign to let you know which direction the battery should go. The entire process was less than ten minutes. I am impressed with this fan. It packs a punch. It has a nice air flow, is whisper quite, and you already know how I feel about the oscillation. So far, I am enjoying this fan and I would recommend this fan. A sample was provider for evaluation

REVIEW: Picnic Time Bamboo Coasters, Beautiful, Entertaining Tabletop Wine and Hot and/or Cold Beverage Coasters (6)

I honestly have been using a napkin as a coaster prior to receiving these coasters.  That method is actually pretty close to using nothing at all.  I find myself constantly folding the napkin as it becomes moist, until I have to toss sit and get another.  I also end up having to wipe a wet spot off the table.  It is annoying. 

I got these Bamboo Coasters in a 6-pack and I really like them.  The design with the contrasting colors is really nice and appealing to the eye.   They also match any décor, which is a bonus.   

The coasters are made very well.  I find them to be durable and they have passed the “toddler drop and throw test”. 

These are great for hot and cold beverages. I really like the groves on the coasters that help to catch the condensation and pull it away from your glass.  This way, your cup isn’t sitting in a pool of water like it would be on a flat coaster. 

The only point of improvement I would make is adding a lip around the edge to ensure that the condensation doesn’t make its way to table.  It hasn’t happened yet, but I can see it being an issue if there is excessive condensation.

Review: Thick Glass Square Double Beverage Dispenser with Personalization Options on Metal Wire Stand, Elegant Party Centerpiece (1.37 Gallon Each)

This is my second beverage dispenser as well as my favorite. We throw a lot of parties and always have an alcoholic, as well as a non-alcoholic drink choice. This Double Beverage Dispenser is a great way to serve them both. Not only do I have two dispensers, but it comes with labels, where I can clearly label which is which.

Funny Story: I threw a party a few weeks ago. I didn’t have this beverage dispenser yet. I had my single glass dispenser borrowed a plastic dispenser. My dispenser had alcohol in it. The other was just lemonade. One of the guests approached me to say that she wasn’t getting tipsy from the drink I had made. I looked at her funny, and exclaimed “That’s because you’re drinking pink lemonade!” This story is why the labels are such an important addition for me. Being able to clearly label drinks can be quite important, especially if kids are attending.

Aside from tightening the spigot and setting the dispensers on the rack, there was no other assembly. My favorite feature about this dispenser set is the lid. The lid is flat and has a nice seal on it. My other dispenser has a tall decorative top. It is easy to accidentally knock off, and it doesn’t fit in the fridge. These will fit in the fridge without a problem (without the stand of course).

My fiancé came up with a great idea to use one of the dispensers to fill the baby’s bottle with water. This was genius! We hate lugging the jug of water in the middle of the night and trying to measure the right amount. It is so much easier to fill it directly from this beverage dispenser into the bottle. Since the water stays at room temperature, we can just keep it on display.

I am super impressed with this beverage dispenser. It is decorative and durable. The glass is nice and thick and the stand made very well. I would absolutely recommend this product. It is amazing.

REVIEW: Aqua Dance Drill Free Instant Mount 3 Way Showerhead Slide Bar Combo - Chrome

This shower head was an upgrade from my old one.  I had another one with two heads, but this Aqua Dance shower set exceeds it by far.  One of the major differences in this one and my old one lied in the bar.  My old one did not have this.  I could only use one of the heads at a time.  The handheld could really only be a handheld, as if I tried to use it while mounted, it would just spray the water at the ceiling.   That is not the case with this shower head.  I actually get the true benefit of having two shower heads.  I can use them both at the same time!  The handheld can actually be slid up and down the bar so that you can direct it at the part of your body you need it most.  I like to aim it at my lower back to massage my back while I shower with the main head. 

Installation was a breeze.  It took just a few, short minutes.  The instructions were detailed and easy to follow.  The pictures helped with this as well.  IT also looks very nice when installed!  The chrome shines and matches any bathroom décor.  The shower head is also light weight.  Being that I was installing it while my husband was away, I appreciated that it was easy and lightweight.

The settings on this shower head are amazing.  My old one only had three settings.  This one has a whole lot more.  My favorite is the jet massage setting.  It applies nice pressure to your back.  The product also has a water-saving feature.  This is probably important to those who own homes and want to save water.  If you live in an apartment, this probably won’t matter as much to you. 

Overall, this is a great shower head set.  I do recommend it!

REVIEW: 2 x Acrylic Hydraulic Lift Adjustable Counter Bar Stool Dining Chair Clear -Pack of 2 (2005/7542)

I have had these bar stools for a few weeks. I had been waiting on my husband to put them together, thinking that it would be too complicated,  I got tired of waiting and ended up putting them together myself. This was so much easier than I could have ever imagined.

The instruction are really are series of pictures. They are easy to follow though. The sheet shows you what the parts are and they are labeled by alphabets. There are two diagrams. One shows you have to attach the seat and the other shows you how to attach that part to the base. Here's how you assemble them:

1. Place the round metal plate on top of the pole that has the lever and footrest attached
2. Align the holes on the plate to the holes on the pols
3. Sit the seat on top, aligning the holes
4. Place the screws/bolts in the holes ( I researched which part was nuts and which part was bolts after doing the video)
5. Slide on the washer
6. Twist on the bolt and tighten with the included wrench
7. Put that to the side and grab the large round base.
8. Apply the silver ring onto the base.
9. Slide the large end of the remaining pole into the hole on the base
10. Fit the assembled seat onto the assembled base
Very simple. I really like the way the holes are drilled in the top of the acrylic seat. The screws sit flush down into the holes, so there is no worry of snagging clothes or getting poked.

I love the way this assembled product looks. They have a modern style. As you can see form the video, I'm not a small girl. They hold my weight very well. The hydraulic works nicely too. I'm really surprised at how lightweight these are. They do not take much effort to move at all.

I'm really impressed with this product. You can't beat the price. I do recommend them. You can use them even if you do not have a bar, as the hydraulic allows them to be short or tall. I'm very impressed.

REVIEW: Connoisseur's Inn Wine Bottle Stopper with Stylish Diamond Shaped Crystal Ball on Top

This wine stopper is absolutely beautiful!  It comes in a beautiful box that is ready for gift-giving.  The box is lined with a satin-like material.  The wine topper fits nestled right in the space that is crafted for it.  These details are extremely elegant.

The design of the wine topper is excellent.  It is magnificently crafted.  I especially like it when the light catches it the right way.  I attempted to catch a photo of the sparkle that is produces.  It’s so gorgeous.  I almost feel rich when putting this on top of a bottle.  It doesn't just fit a wind bottle.  It also fits other  750ml bottles.  My husband likes to use it on a nice bottle of cognac. 

This stopper does a great job keeping the wine fresh.  Lately, I haven’t been completing an entire bottle of wine.  The rubber rings make the wind topper fit snugly.  When you pull it out of the whine, you hear the “pop” sound that I love so much.   It also keeps our cognac from going stale.  We are happy.

REVIEW: Apalus Auto On/off Light Controlled Insect Trap, Smart Indoor Mosquito Traps,Mosquito Killer With Electric Vacuum Fan, LED Ultraviolet Light Bug Zapper,No Chemicals,Romantic Night Light

This Insect trap by Apalus says it is for indoor use. I wouldn’t particularly try it outside because outside is not as controlled an area as in the house. It appears that the low rating on this product is because the customers were using this product outside instead of inside. Outside is a wide open area.

The first thing I like about this bug zapper is the sleek design. Nobody can actually tell what it is. I also like the cool blue light. The touch button is cool as well. You don’t actually have to press a button. You just touch the power switch. The first touch turns it on hi, the second turns it to medium, the third turns it to low, and the fourth turns it off.

The instructions recommend that his product be used when it is completely dark in the room. That way, there is no other light to draw the insects. It is also recommended to not have any air blowing on it, as it could affect he function of the fan that draws the bugs into the unit.

I took it out the box and used it right away. I initially had some issues getting the top aligned. One side would go in, but the other wouldn’t. It took me a few minutes to be able to hold it level enough to get the unit put together correctly. A feature for improvement would be to put some stickers on it with arrows that tell you exactly how to align the unit.

I turned it on when I arrived home from work. There wasn’t anything flying around, so I didn’t expect anything spectacular. Surprisingly, there was a fly and some gnats inside the unit the next morning. I was so confused because there was nothing here.

This product comes with a small brush so that you can clean the insect carcasses out of the unit. I would suggest a brush that is a little bit larger. That is just a minor inconvenience though. The thing that I like most is that the fan makes sure that the bugs do not get back out. Once they are in this unit, they are there for good until they dehydrate and die. Also, it is nontoxic. I really worry about chemicals, giving that I have a toddler.

While I like to believe that I have ninja-like reflexes, I still fail to hit a fly before it moves. This is a much better solution. I don’t have to wait in the shadows, stalking a pesky insect. I can just sit back and relax, knowing that the insect will not be around very long.
