REVIEW: Ozeri WeightMaster Scale

This WeightMaster is a neat scale.  I got it in the black and I love it.  I like to call it a Smart Scale because it keeps track of your weight.  It has a large LED screen that is gives color coded alerts that allow you to ascertain whether you lost or gained weight.  The LED light changes green if you have lost weight or red if you have gained.  I like these colors, as I see green as affirmation to keep doing what I’m doing.  I see red as a sign to take caution.

The scale measures up to 440 pounds, which is generous in comparison to other scales.  My old only goes up to 350 pounds.    The scale has the ability to keep track of up to eight people.  Setup is pretty simple as well.  Upon opening the box, you only need to pull the tab from the battery compartment.  If you choose, you can enter statistics for each person that will be using this scale.  If everyone is in a different weight range, the scale is able to determine who is standing on the scale, which is neat.  Otherwise, you do have the option to choose the person. 

I think this scale is great for people who are on a weight loss regimen.  It is also helpful when you are looking to gain weight for health reasons.  My purpose is to lose.  I love to see the scale light up green when I step on it to let me know that I’m still doing well.  I do recommend it to anyone who is on a weight management program.  I like the design of this scale as well. It is slim with a decorative glass insert.  IT’s cool to see the floor through the scale.  I received this scale to test and I have had it for a few days.  So far, I have no complaints.

REVIEW: Ozeri Ducky Thermometer

When this duck arrived, I was impressed by the size. I was expecting something a little smaller. This was a pleasant surprise.  It was ready to use right away. As soon as placed the duck in the tub, it started to calculate the temperature of the water. If the water is within the right range, the LED light turns green. If it is too hot, the LED turns red. If the water happens to be too cold, you will be met with a blue light. The packaging also has a chart that indicates the respective temperature ranges. 


I have two children. One is 6-months old and the other is 3-years old. Parents always worry when it comes to dealing with babies. This duck helps to put your mind at ease when it comes to the bath water. The thing I like most about this duck is that it was simple to teach my three-year-old to read it. He has a bad habit of jumping into any bath that is run. Mine are usually way too hot. Now, I sit the duck in the tub and he knows not to jump in if the duck’s light is red. This is so simple a child can use it. I received a sample of this duck to test.

REVIEW: Ozeri Tower Fan

We have three tower fans in our house, but this is my favorite. This fan has features that I didn’t even think were possible. Number one being a 360 degree oscillation feature! I didn’t know that was a thing. This feature alone is enough to make me extremely excited about this Ozeri Tower fan. In addition, you can have a more narrow rotation if you desire. This fan can also be set to 60, 90, and 120. If you have ever been sitting in a room while a fan was rotating and waiting your turn, you understand how epic the more narrow rotation is. I don’t have to wait as long for it to hit my side of the sofa or bed. This is a sleek-looking fan. 

It has a modern design that will fit any décor as a decoration piece. The LED screen is amazing. The numbers are large enough that I can see them from across the room. That makes the fact that a remote control is included even better. I hated having to guess what setting my fan was using after using the remote control or even worse having to get up and see. That defeated the purpose. 


Setup was quite simple. You just snap the two base parts together and use the hand screws to secure it to the base of the fan. I would suggest you snap the base together after feeding the cord between. If you do it without placing the cord in the middle first, you will likely have to take it apart to do so. The remote control takes a flat battery. You squeeze the tab on the bottom of the remove, and pull out the little drawer to insert it. There is a (+) sign to let you know which direction the battery should go. The entire process was less than ten minutes. I am impressed with this fan. It packs a punch. It has a nice air flow, is whisper quite, and you already know how I feel about the oscillation. So far, I am enjoying this fan and I would recommend this fan. A sample was provider for evaluation

REVIEW: Picnic Time Bamboo Coasters, Beautiful, Entertaining Tabletop Wine and Hot and/or Cold Beverage Coasters (6)

I honestly have been using a napkin as a coaster prior to receiving these coasters.  That method is actually pretty close to using nothing at all.  I find myself constantly folding the napkin as it becomes moist, until I have to toss sit and get another.  I also end up having to wipe a wet spot off the table.  It is annoying. 

I got these Bamboo Coasters in a 6-pack and I really like them.  The design with the contrasting colors is really nice and appealing to the eye.   They also match any décor, which is a bonus.   

The coasters are made very well.  I find them to be durable and they have passed the “toddler drop and throw test”. 

These are great for hot and cold beverages. I really like the groves on the coasters that help to catch the condensation and pull it away from your glass.  This way, your cup isn’t sitting in a pool of water like it would be on a flat coaster. 

The only point of improvement I would make is adding a lip around the edge to ensure that the condensation doesn’t make its way to table.  It hasn’t happened yet, but I can see it being an issue if there is excessive condensation.

No More AMAZON Reviewing!

A few years ago, a Facebook friend of mine started posting a lot of things with #GotItFree.  I was curious and asked how she kept getting things for free.  That’s when she introduced me to the website, ShopWithReviews.com.  This was a website that allowed you to get things for free in exchange for writing a review.  I was AMAZED at all the free stuff I could get.  From there, I found more sited.  Then, I was introduced to the Facebook groups that ran these promos.

Reviewing turned into a passion.  I loved the idea of trying products and giving my honest review so that other people could know the quality of the product and make an educated buying decision.  This was important to me because I also read reviews before deciding whether or not to make a purchase.  I really enjoyed taking pictures of the product in use and had just started adding videos. 

I considered myself a product tester and not just a reviewer.  I would actually use the products, and compare them to the description.   My reviews included this information as well.   If there was a major issue, I would let the seller know so that changes could be made to the product to make it better for consumers. 

There was a toy I reviewed that said it was for ages 1+.  The product had pieces the size of a pea  I know this would cause a MAJOR safety hazard if it were actually given to a toddler because they are still oral explorers.  I included this information in my review.  The seller reached out to me and I explained that a child could potentially die if we followed their recommended age guidelines.  The seller changed these guideline to a more suitable age for safety.  I was happy with my role as a product tester.

This was my life for a couple of years.  Then, about a month ago, I got the dreaded email.  Amazon had deleted all of my reviews and taken away my ability to review any products on their platform.  I felt crushed.  I talked to a few other reviewer friends and they had been wiped too.  We joked that Amazon was probably getting rid of all the reviewers because they only wanted reviewers from their Vine program to receive free products for review.  What was a joke then, became a reality just a month later! 

On October 3 Amazon announced that they would no longer allow reviews in exchange for discounts or products UNLESS you are a part of their Vine program.  Mind you, sellers have to pay to be a part of Amazon’s Vine program.  I hear it is a nice chunk of change too!  I find this sad because many sellers relied upon the help of reviewers to promote their new products.  Let’s not forget that many sellers had already given away products for free or heavily discounted, hoping to receive reviews that would boost their sales.  They lost a ton of money as Amazon made the changes effective immediately.

All is not lost.  Some reviewers are still chugging along by using their blogs and their social media platforms to spread the word about products.  This can actually be better for the seller, as the word gets out to many more people, along with a link to their product.  I am among those product testers that chooses to use my blog as a platform to showcase products that I love.  Hope you enjoy this content and find it useful.  

REVIEW: 18oz Glass Water Bottle MIUCOLOR - Anti-slip Silicone Sleeve with Eco-friendly Borosilicate Glass Bottle, BPA, PVC, Plastic and Lead Free, Romantic Red

I got this MIUCOLOR Water bottle in the Romantic Red color and I love it!  The color is very pretty and the bottle offers an attractive design that causes others to inquire. 

The bottle is made of a durable glass and is covered in a silicone sleeve that helps keep it securely in your hand. Glass seems to offer a better taste of water than plastic water bottles.  I am impressed with the cap.  It has a seal that helps keep the contents of the bottle safely inside, even when the bottle is inverted.  There is also a nice carrying strap on the top that allows you to carry it with ease or even connect it to other items, such as a backpack. 

Most of the other water bottles I have tried have come in a 16 ounce size.  I like that this one is a little larger than the others at 18 ounces.  This helps me to reach my water intake goal a little quicker. 

One thing I usually dread is cleaning water bottles.  That is not the case with this one.  They thought about this and opted to include cleaning tools with the bottle.  THIS IS AMAZING.  I love companies that keep consumer needs in mind.  I’m in love with this company!

REVIEW: Advanced Sleep Solutions Pearl Gel Memory Foam Mattress

I have had my Advanced Sleep Solutions Pearl Gel Memory Foam Mattress for about a week now.  When it arrived, it was tightly rolled inside a box and compressed in plastic.  My fiancé was convinced that I ordered a mattress topper and not a whole mattress.  Instead of arguing, I allowed him to go ahead and keep our old mattress on the bed when he opened this one.  As soon as he opened it, it started to fluff and expand until it was a full mattress.  After a couple of “I told you so’s” we removed the old mattress and put this one in place. 

We slept on it the first night and it was quite comfortable.  What I noticed was that the bed continued to expand for about a full day.  As it expanded, it became even more comfortable.  The bed is firm, but still comfortable at the same time.  It is enveloped in a cover that is soft and helps to protect the mattress from debris.  It is made of a combination of gel and foam.  Something about gives this mattress a feel that is slightly better than other memory foam mattresses.    

Unlike many other mattresses, it does not have coils inside.  It is completely memory foam.  The foam has a way of absorbing shock and also adjusting to comfortably accommodate your body.  One thing I love is that this mattress does not move.  I am able to have a completely undisturbed sleep, no matter what my fiancé does on the other side.  I tried to demonstrate this with my photo of the wine glass sitting level on the mattress while he is on the other side.   With our old mattress, I could tell each time he exited or entered the bed.  Now, I don’t feel it and don’t have to worry about broken sleep.  Sometimes, my infant naps in my bed during the day.  This mattress ensures that she remains sleep when I check on her while she is sleeping.  If I decide to lay next to her, she does not roll like she did on my old mattress.  This helps to ensure her safety as well, which is important to me. 

It seems that I have gained some surface area on my Full Size bed by switching to this mattress as well.  My old mattress had some unnecessary puffiness in the center which seemed to remove some of the actual width of the mattress.  You couldn’t sleep too far on either side because you might roll off the bed.  This mattress is flat, allowing you to lie or sit on the entire mattress. 

A mattress is an investment in your overall health.  Your ability to get a full night’s rest can affect you physically as well as emotionally.  I recommend this Advanced Sleep Solutions Pearl Gel Memory Foam Mattress.  It is comfortable and durable.

Review: Thick Glass Square Double Beverage Dispenser with Personalization Options on Metal Wire Stand, Elegant Party Centerpiece (1.37 Gallon Each)

This is my second beverage dispenser as well as my favorite. We throw a lot of parties and always have an alcoholic, as well as a non-alcoholic drink choice. This Double Beverage Dispenser is a great way to serve them both. Not only do I have two dispensers, but it comes with labels, where I can clearly label which is which.

Funny Story: I threw a party a few weeks ago. I didn’t have this beverage dispenser yet. I had my single glass dispenser borrowed a plastic dispenser. My dispenser had alcohol in it. The other was just lemonade. One of the guests approached me to say that she wasn’t getting tipsy from the drink I had made. I looked at her funny, and exclaimed “That’s because you’re drinking pink lemonade!” This story is why the labels are such an important addition for me. Being able to clearly label drinks can be quite important, especially if kids are attending.

Aside from tightening the spigot and setting the dispensers on the rack, there was no other assembly. My favorite feature about this dispenser set is the lid. The lid is flat and has a nice seal on it. My other dispenser has a tall decorative top. It is easy to accidentally knock off, and it doesn’t fit in the fridge. These will fit in the fridge without a problem (without the stand of course).

My fiancé came up with a great idea to use one of the dispensers to fill the baby’s bottle with water. This was genius! We hate lugging the jug of water in the middle of the night and trying to measure the right amount. It is so much easier to fill it directly from this beverage dispenser into the bottle. Since the water stays at room temperature, we can just keep it on display.

I am super impressed with this beverage dispenser. It is decorative and durable. The glass is nice and thick and the stand made very well. I would absolutely recommend this product. It is amazing.

REVIEW: Aqua Dance Drill Free Instant Mount 3 Way Showerhead Slide Bar Combo - Chrome

This shower head was an upgrade from my old one.  I had another one with two heads, but this Aqua Dance shower set exceeds it by far.  One of the major differences in this one and my old one lied in the bar.  My old one did not have this.  I could only use one of the heads at a time.  The handheld could really only be a handheld, as if I tried to use it while mounted, it would just spray the water at the ceiling.   That is not the case with this shower head.  I actually get the true benefit of having two shower heads.  I can use them both at the same time!  The handheld can actually be slid up and down the bar so that you can direct it at the part of your body you need it most.  I like to aim it at my lower back to massage my back while I shower with the main head. 

Installation was a breeze.  It took just a few, short minutes.  The instructions were detailed and easy to follow.  The pictures helped with this as well.  IT also looks very nice when installed!  The chrome shines and matches any bathroom décor.  The shower head is also light weight.  Being that I was installing it while my husband was away, I appreciated that it was easy and lightweight.

The settings on this shower head are amazing.  My old one only had three settings.  This one has a whole lot more.  My favorite is the jet massage setting.  It applies nice pressure to your back.  The product also has a water-saving feature.  This is probably important to those who own homes and want to save water.  If you live in an apartment, this probably won’t matter as much to you. 

Overall, this is a great shower head set.  I do recommend it!

REVIEW: 2 x Acrylic Hydraulic Lift Adjustable Counter Bar Stool Dining Chair Clear -Pack of 2 (2005/7542)

I have had these bar stools for a few weeks. I had been waiting on my husband to put them together, thinking that it would be too complicated,  I got tired of waiting and ended up putting them together myself. This was so much easier than I could have ever imagined.

The instruction are really are series of pictures. They are easy to follow though. The sheet shows you what the parts are and they are labeled by alphabets. There are two diagrams. One shows you have to attach the seat and the other shows you how to attach that part to the base. Here's how you assemble them:

1. Place the round metal plate on top of the pole that has the lever and footrest attached
2. Align the holes on the plate to the holes on the pols
3. Sit the seat on top, aligning the holes
4. Place the screws/bolts in the holes ( I researched which part was nuts and which part was bolts after doing the video)
5. Slide on the washer
6. Twist on the bolt and tighten with the included wrench
7. Put that to the side and grab the large round base.
8. Apply the silver ring onto the base.
9. Slide the large end of the remaining pole into the hole on the base
10. Fit the assembled seat onto the assembled base
Very simple. I really like the way the holes are drilled in the top of the acrylic seat. The screws sit flush down into the holes, so there is no worry of snagging clothes or getting poked.

I love the way this assembled product looks. They have a modern style. As you can see form the video, I'm not a small girl. They hold my weight very well. The hydraulic works nicely too. I'm really surprised at how lightweight these are. They do not take much effort to move at all.

I'm really impressed with this product. You can't beat the price. I do recommend them. You can use them even if you do not have a bar, as the hydraulic allows them to be short or tall. I'm very impressed.

REVIEW: Gen X Clothing

Because I have been consistently losing weight, I knew it was time to get some new, cute clothes. I got three items from Gen X Clothing in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. They are each trendy and well-made.

Plus Paisley print Denim Romper

I did read the other reviews before getting this product. I made sure to order it a size larger. I actually wish I had ordered it two sizes larger. It is still a bit tight. It isn’t a big deal, though. It is just extra sexy. I love the print on this jumpsuit. It is well-made. The stitching is nice. I really appreciate that it did not shrink after being washed. You basically step into it and button it up the front. Very easy. I recommend getting a strapless bra to wear with the product if you have larger breasts. Ladies with smaller breasts can get away with wearing it without any support, as it does provide a little support.

Overall I love this product. It is very cute. Just make sure you order it larger than your regular size.

Plus Off shoulder Rip Dress

I ordered this dress in an Xl and it fits perfectly. I love that it is lined because I was afraid that it would be see-through. That is not the case at all. It is extremely comfortable. It hugs your curves in all the right places. I actually added a belt to hide my little tummy pouch a bit. I saw where someone had an issue with getting the top to stay down. It is important to note that this is an off the shoulder dress. When you wear it off your shoulders, you can fold the top down. If you try to wear it on your shoulder, the top will not fold down.

I do recommend this dress. It is perfect for a night out. I have no complaints about this product. Pair it with a nice pair of earrings and a nice chunky bracelet for a beautiful effect. You can even add a short necklace or choker to make an even bolder statement.

WOMENS PLUS AMERICAN BAZI DESTROYED DRAWSTRING DENIM JOGGER

These jeans are HOT!! I love the dark denim with the faded front. The ripped design is cute. These jeans are a combination of jogging pants and jeans. You can wear them with gym shoes or with heels. They can be dressed up or dressed down. I find them very versatile. They do run a little small, so make sure you order a size larger than your regular size.

If you have a larger bottom, you may want to order them two sizes larger for the sake of comfort. I was actually a size XL, but lost 25 pounds. I did go ahead and get them in the XL, which isn't my size anymore. They fit for the most part. I just wish I had a little more space in the butt area.

This is my favorite running belt yet! I am so ecstatic that this running belt has a clear window so I can see my phone screen. Not only can I see my phone screen, but this screen allows me to touch and operate the screen. YES! In addition, there is room on the inside for my keys or my ID. It is spacious, but also slim. The belt is adjustable. I find it comfortable to wear. It is also padded, so you don’t have to worry about your cell phone becoming wet from sweat and short-circuiting. I’m excited!

REVIEW: Coconut Oil Soap with Shea Butter, Olive Oil & Plumeria Essential Oils - Natural & Organic Ingredients By Soap.Club Handmade Bath & Body Skin Care Products With Moisturizing Lotion

I decided to try this soap because I have eczema  and dry skin.  This soap is said to help with dry and irritated skin.  It contains a lot of great ingredients, such as olive oil,  coconut oil, and shea butter. It is also organic. 

The first thing I noticed when this soap arrived is the smell.  The fragrance is amazing.  It sort of  takes you away on a mental retreat.  I love it.  The bar feels silky as well.  Upon using it, my skin was moisturized and refreshed.  The moisture actually lasted a lot longer than other soaps.  My eczema spots are starting to clear up as well.  In addition, it leaves you smelling nice. 

The soap in the bathroom at work dries my skin out very badly.  I actually took cut my bar of soap in half and put some in a portable soap dish so I could use it at work.  Now, I don’t have to walk around with ashy hands or use lotions and oils all day.

I never heard of soap.club prior to this experience, but I will definitely use them again.

REVIEW: Connoisseur's Inn Wine Bottle Stopper with Stylish Diamond Shaped Crystal Ball on Top

This wine stopper is absolutely beautiful!  It comes in a beautiful box that is ready for gift-giving.  The box is lined with a satin-like material.  The wine topper fits nestled right in the space that is crafted for it.  These details are extremely elegant.

The design of the wine topper is excellent.  It is magnificently crafted.  I especially like it when the light catches it the right way.  I attempted to catch a photo of the sparkle that is produces.  It’s so gorgeous.  I almost feel rich when putting this on top of a bottle.  It doesn't just fit a wind bottle.  It also fits other  750ml bottles.  My husband likes to use it on a nice bottle of cognac. 

This stopper does a great job keeping the wine fresh.  Lately, I haven’t been completing an entire bottle of wine.  The rubber rings make the wind topper fit snugly.  When you pull it out of the whine, you hear the “pop” sound that I love so much.   It also keeps our cognac from going stale.  We are happy.

REVIEW: Apalus Auto On/off Light Controlled Insect Trap, Smart Indoor Mosquito Traps,Mosquito Killer With Electric Vacuum Fan, LED Ultraviolet Light Bug Zapper,No Chemicals,Romantic Night Light

This Insect trap by Apalus says it is for indoor use. I wouldn’t particularly try it outside because outside is not as controlled an area as in the house. It appears that the low rating on this product is because the customers were using this product outside instead of inside. Outside is a wide open area.

The first thing I like about this bug zapper is the sleek design. Nobody can actually tell what it is. I also like the cool blue light. The touch button is cool as well. You don’t actually have to press a button. You just touch the power switch. The first touch turns it on hi, the second turns it to medium, the third turns it to low, and the fourth turns it off.

The instructions recommend that his product be used when it is completely dark in the room. That way, there is no other light to draw the insects. It is also recommended to not have any air blowing on it, as it could affect he function of the fan that draws the bugs into the unit.

I took it out the box and used it right away. I initially had some issues getting the top aligned. One side would go in, but the other wouldn’t. It took me a few minutes to be able to hold it level enough to get the unit put together correctly. A feature for improvement would be to put some stickers on it with arrows that tell you exactly how to align the unit.

I turned it on when I arrived home from work. There wasn’t anything flying around, so I didn’t expect anything spectacular. Surprisingly, there was a fly and some gnats inside the unit the next morning. I was so confused because there was nothing here.

This product comes with a small brush so that you can clean the insect carcasses out of the unit. I would suggest a brush that is a little bit larger. That is just a minor inconvenience though. The thing that I like most is that the fan makes sure that the bugs do not get back out. Once they are in this unit, they are there for good until they dehydrate and die. Also, it is nontoxic. I really worry about chemicals, giving that I have a toddler.

While I like to believe that I have ninja-like reflexes, I still fail to hit a fly before it moves. This is a much better solution. I don’t have to wait in the shadows, stalking a pesky insect. I can just sit back and relax, knowing that the insect will not be around very long.

REVIEW: Silicone Soap Candle Making Fondant Tool Chocolate Mold Hard Candy Mould Ice Cube Tray Kit Party Supply

I actually got two of these molds. I got the stars set and the brain set. The silicon is food grade, so while it is good for wax, it is also good for food related projects. The first thing I did was try them as ice cubes. After washing the trays, I filled them with water and went to work. When I returned, I pulled them out of the freezer. I ran them under a bit of warm water before popping them out. It was very easy to get them out of the molds.

As you can see from the pics, two of the stars have some cute sticks. Those would be nice for swirling around in your drink when you do not want the ice to sit in your drink. The first thing I thought was that it would be nice to fill them with wine to swirl around in my drinks. I'm not sure how well you can see in the picture, but the larger stars also have a smaller star cutout in the middle. It is unbelievable how incredibly detailed the brain ice cubes were. Even after running these molds under water, they did not lose this definition.

After I finished playing with my super cool ice cubes, I remembered that I had some white chocolate chips. They were really cheap and when warming the chocolate, it never really became creamy. It actually got hard, but I decided to try it anyway. I put it into the molds the best I could, by trying to press it into the crevices. I put it into the freezer to set for just a few minute. Surprisingly, they still turned out well. They popped out of the mold pretty easily. Because the mold is silicon, you can pull on it a little bit to release the candy. They will still come out perfectly. They were still very defined. I can only imagine how nice they will be if I actually had better candy to melt.

Cleanup was easy as well. I sat them in some warm soapy water for a few minutes, then just rinsed them. They did not require any scrubbing or anything.

My husband does plumbing. We thought this would be great for when he is in dark places. It is difficult to hold a torch to weld and a flashlight at the same time.

The first thing we noticed about this Topwell headlamp is that it is rechargeable. There are two rechargeable batteries that come with it. We have gone through so many batteries trying to light up flashlights and such. Often, the batteries are completely drained before we even use the flashlight. So when the time comes that we need to use them, we have to go to the store first.

This headlamp comes with two types of chargers. Why is that important? Well, imagine the power goes out in your house. You go to turn on your headlamp, but the batteries are dead. Obviously, since there is no power in the house, you cannot charge them in the house. BUT you can charge them in the car!!! You'll only need to charge them a few minutes if your goal is to go down into the basement to try to get the power back on. Great thinking, Topwell!

The light is extremely bright. The batteries were already charged upon arrival, so we did not have to charge them. The light is also adjustable. It has four different modes or your needs. It also fits a variety of head sizes because it is adjustable. My husband actually wears it over a hat.
