REVIEW: Ozeri Ducky Thermometer

When this duck arrived, I was impressed by the size. I was expecting something a little smaller. This was a pleasant surprise.  It was ready to use right away. As soon as placed the duck in the tub, it started to calculate the temperature of the water. If the water is within the right range, the LED light turns green. If it is too hot, the LED turns red. If the water happens to be too cold, you will be met with a blue light. The packaging also has a chart that indicates the respective temperature ranges. 


I have two children. One is 6-months old and the other is 3-years old. Parents always worry when it comes to dealing with babies. This duck helps to put your mind at ease when it comes to the bath water. The thing I like most about this duck is that it was simple to teach my three-year-old to read it. He has a bad habit of jumping into any bath that is run. Mine are usually way too hot. Now, I sit the duck in the tub and he knows not to jump in if the duck’s light is red. This is so simple a child can use it. I received a sample of this duck to test.

Where??

Last night, I saw my little toddle-monster put something in his mouth.  I asked, “DJ, what’s in your mouth?” In one swift motion, he spit into his hands, put them behind his back, and without missing a beat, looked me in my eyes and said, “What mouth??”  I think I died for a good five minutes.  All I could do was stare at him.  I couldn’t utter a word.

He keeps me laughing.  Half the time, it next to impossible to keep myself composed.  This video is the talk we had before I put him on some big boy pants for the day.  It was supposed to be a simple conversation that we have had many times previously.

“Where are you supposed to pee?”
“In the toilet.”

This time, it wasn’t so simple.

Nasty!

This is a burn that I obtained while trying to make some turkey bacon in the oven.  As you will notice, some is scraped.  My toddler looked at my arm, told me I was dirty and tried to clean the “dirt” off my arm with a baby wipe.  When I yelled, “Ouch!” he gave me a confused look.  “What’s wrong with you, Mommy?” he asked as he spit on my arm. “This is NASTY!” he exclaimed.

I guess you’re wondering how I obtained the burn on my arm.  I was making some turkey bacon in the oven.  Someone walked in so I only opened the door slightly in an effort not to touch them with the door.  I’m not as graceful as I thought, so I touched my arm against the door when I reached inside.

I am the parent of a toddler who absolutely loves trucks!  He found this truck extremely fun and did not want to stop playing with it.  The colorful lights and the sounds kept him entertained for a very long time.  He liked to watch the claw go up and down, as he would say, “Up…Down…Go!”  These features are powered by three AA batteries (not included). 

My son thinks he is supposed to dance to any hint of music that he hears.  He was dancing as this excavator played. 

My big baby (husband) enjoyed playing with this excavator too.  They were both sitting in the floor playing with it, dancing and singing.  It was a cute sight to see.  I was impressed that it turned around and went the other way if it bumps into furniture.  My toddler got a kick out of that.
